A: Still no idea!

Patient: Doctor, Doctor I keep thinking I'm a moth.
Doctor: Why did you come in here, you need a psychiatrist?
Patient: Because the light was on.

The Happy Hedgehog

All through the winter the hedgehog slept sound,

And then he awoke and took a walk round.

“Springtime is here!” said the hedgehog delighted.

“Winter has vanished, I do feel excited!”

He hurried along in the ditch wet with dew,

Meeting the mice and the voles that he knew.

His friend, the old toad, had gone crawling away

To swim with the frogs in the pond all the day.

The sun on his back made him beautifully hot,

He curled himself up in a wind-sheltered spot.

He said, “I fear nobody, no-one at all,

When I roll myself up in a prickly ball!”

So there he lies now, and if you should find him,

Set down a saucer of cat food behind him!

If only he’ll stay in your garden, you’ll see

What a great help a small hedgehog can be!

And another....

Night Wanderer

He wanders all alone at night,

Eating beetles at one bite,

Doesn’t mind a slug or two,

Gobbles grubs the whole night through;

Enemies he does not fear,

He rolls up tight when they appear,

Outwitting them with spears of brown;

Guess his name and write it down!

A Puzzle

What are these two things?

I’m what you spread

Upon your bread,

But add a fly to me

And see,

I’ll flutter by your head!

But if instead

You add the cup,

From which you sup,

Oh, then I’ll grow in golden row

In fields and meadows where you go!
