This is the place to see tropical butterflies living amongst the same plant life that would sustain them in the wild.

The butterflies come from many different countries and each species has different needs from another.

The plants are important too! They have flowers that provide the adult butterflies with nectar and leaves that are food for caterpillars.

Different butterflies and caterpillars prefer to feed on different flowers and leaves, so a wide variety of plants must be grown.

Sometimes there are not enough flowers in bloom to feed all the butterflies and so ‘nectar cups’ are provided, these are small cups filled with sugar and water….scrumptious
